Dr. Rhiannon Lewis

Veterinarian

Dr. Rhiannon Lewis was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland and grew up in the greater Tampa Bay Area. She is a proud University of Florida graduate—go Gators! After veterinary school, Dr. Lewis completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship in Los Angeles, where she discovered her passion for emergency and critical care medicine.

For more than a decade, Dr. Lewis practiced emergency medicine in both Los Angeles and the Sarasota area, enjoying the fast-paced and unpredictable nature of ER work. Over time, she found herself missing the long-term relationships that come with general practice and began providing relief services at Forest Lakes Animal Clinic, where she quickly connected with both the clients and the team. Dr. Lewis’ professional interests include emergency & critical care, surgery, and preventive care.

Outside of the clinic, she is proudly owned by two Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Stella and Lucas, a tabby cat named Kevin Bacon, and a retired laying chicken named Bea. In her free time, she enjoys visiting Disney and boating in Sarasota Bay with her son, Mathis.
